Watertown Municipal Utilities has several convenient methods available to pay your utility bill.
Option 1 – Pay In Person
You can make your payment in person at our office, located at 901 4th Ave SW ( Get Directions) or City Hall during normal business hours (Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm). We also provide a drive-up window for your convenience at the Municipal Utility office. A drop box is available at Watertown Municipal Utilities and City Hall for after hours payments. ( Get Directions).
Option 2 – Pre Authorized Bank Payment Program
Watertown Municipal Utilities has a convenient bill payment option designed to help customers manage the payment of their utility bill. With our free Pre Authorized Bank Payment Program, you can pay your utility bill electronically from any checking or savings account. Sign up today and enjoy these benefits:

Watertown Municipal Utilities Electronic Bill Payment Service does all the work of paying your utility bill. Now what could be easier than that? Please allow two to four weeks after your application is submitted for the service to activate. There is a charge of $2.95 for every payment up to $300.00, with a limit of 6 transactions per utility account.

There is a convenience fee of 2.9% of the payment amount. There is a convenience fee of 2.9% plus a $.50 transfer fee for any payment under $100.00.
Option 4 – Setup Budget Billing
Most of us experience fluctuations in our monthly utility costs. Typically, utility costs are higher in the winter and lower in the summer. To even out these costs and help make the monthly payments more predictable, we offer a budget billing program. Under this program, we establish a set payment each month. We review your account annually to ensure the budget amount is adequate – so you don’t pay too much or too little. To qualify for this program, we need at least 12 months of utility history at your current residence and your balance must be current. Your budget payment is due by the due date on your bill.
