To put utilities into your name, you will need to stop into our office at 901 4th Ave SW to complete the utility application and pay the deposit. When you fill out the utility application we will also need a drivers license or some form of picture ID. If you are unable to be in Watertown prior to your move in, please call Watertown Municipal Utilities at (605) 882-6233 to make other arrangements.
The following amounts are set for residential deposits and reconnect charges
Per Service Call $35.00 (normal business hours)

Commercial and Industrial
Commercial and industrial deposits shall be set at the estimated amount for the highest 60 days of service. Deposits will be refunded after one year of non-delinquent history. The Utilities will accept a one-year bond payment in lieu of a cash deposit for the same amount.
Disconnect/Reconnect Charge with line crew $125.00
All customers who have not established one year of non-delinquent history will be required to make a deposit, either as a new customer, or as an existing customer moving to a new location. Deposits will be refunded after one year of non-delinquent history.
